Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:9 (KJV), “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.” When we give, we are saying, “Lord, You are first in my life.”
2. We Give in Obedience to God’s Word
The principle of giving is deeply rooted in Scripture. From the tithe to offerings, God has established giving as a spiritual discipline that aligns our hearts with His will. In Malachi 3:10 (KJV), God invites us to trust Him by giving, promising to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings.
